Hi
I have been trying to get back into sketchup again and im having trouble understanding the intersect tool?

I have tried viewing the tutorial but its a quicktime movie and it just gives me a black screen with no sound!

I just cannot get two components to intersect in such a way as to leave the intersect lines on both components?

any ideas?

You can't get it in one go. You need to open the components one at a time, select the geometry, right click and choose Intersect with model. then open the second component and repeat. Here's the result after I opened the cylinder to do the intersect. The next step was to open the box for editing and do the same thing. I made copies of the components so the changes would be evident when they happened.

And after the second run.
