Just had the spec. on the new SIP 01930 table saw, very impressed.
Any one had any experiemce of these table saws, older model SIP 01918 etc.,
are they accurate, reliable?

I have not got the table saw but do have other SIP machines and find them both accurate(if set up correctly) and reliable.

Have you any way of seeing this somewhere in person. It doesn't look that robust to me, but it is hard to tell just from the picture.

No not as yet.
I am not far from the suppliers at Buxton so maybe a trip over if possible.

Hello, did you buy the SIP 01930 Table saw? I am looking at the same model and would like to know if it is any good . Is it good build quality , reliabile , accurate etc?

cheers Sean

Sorry, no I am considering the Axminster Hobby TS-200 when in stock.
It only has an 8" blade but the overall size suites my workshop better.
I don't cut anything around 75mm. so the 8" blade should be fine.

Had two of the table saws first one lasted until the warranty ran out the second one the motor fell out when running with the blade attached to it. had a 10” sliding mitre saw motor went up in smoke, the replacement one the main spring went that holds the saw up. Had a 12 inch band saw and the switches kept burning out so i got rid of that when the fence broke. no more SIP for me.

I think it must just be the hobby equipment as I have one of the 12" cast iron table saws (01446) and it is very sturdy and accurate and has taken everything I have thrown at it!
