where do you keep yours ?

This is mine that I built about 6 weeks ago. The space underneath is big enough to store 8'x4' panels underneath.

The idea was copied from a book that I have and I know a few others on here have done the same.

This will be an interesting thread.

You do realise that with wood being a 'live' material it just keeps on growing - it does in my shed anyway

Haven't got any pictures but I have a separate garage where mine is stored, but it's getting a bit tight in there

Philly,

I see you've got the same filing cabinet as WiZeR. What do you store in yours?

regards

Brian

I have'nt got enough room for the book let alone the timber!

Rich.

Hi Tusses,
I think this is an excellent idea for a thread.
Timber storage is always a problem for me and i'm sure i'm not the only one.
Its surprising that there has only been a few responses. perhaps no-one has any timber to store
I will try and get some pics of my storage.

Cheers,
Gary.

You got some lovely wood there Martin. Are you a collector? ;)

I have a 24' x 12' workshop which has a big pitched roof ideal for timber storage.

A few pics, starting off on the floor around the workshop,

all native beech slabs from 10" up to nearly 24" x 2.5" thick.

WiZer,

Martin,

Brian, im not a woodyard, this is my own personal stash :D i have built it up and used it up over the last couple of years. every time i go to a timber merchant i always come away with more than i intended getting.
Although most times i go i am buying stock for a job i am doing, so i always get something extra and hide it in the customers price 8)

A lot of it has been too good a bargain to refuse, for example approx 50 cubic ft of native beech, half of which was already sized and planed up to 2" x 6" x 12ft lengths, for less than a weeks wage ( im not on big wages).
25, 5ft lengths of 6"x1" (finished) Elm for ............. well i wont say because you wouldnt believe me
Cheers,
Gary.
