Can anyone identify this vintage shoulder plane? I can't find a manufacturer's name on the body. The iron is by Record, but probably not the original as I can't find any pictures of Record planes like this one. I have seen Slater ones that look similar, but not sure if this is one of theirs. Pic 3 shows where there is some extra metal that has made the mouth narrower. It doesn't seem to be a repair, and looks quite neatly done, but what would have been the reason?
Thanks in advance for any ideas, Richard.

The record iron has a slot for a screw adjuster so is not original. Its an old infill shoulder plane and may even be home made. I would think it was around before record was. The mouth adjustment may be because the record blade is thinner than the original but thats only my guess as I have never seen that done. It is well done all the same.

John
