I have the chance to buy a wadkin table saw, multico jointer, massive startrite bandsaw (20") incl. an extractor. It all came from a school workshop and is stored somewhere else now and has been used a bit but needs a bit of tlc.
The tablesaw and jointer are three phase, bandsaw single phase. Its good old solid stuff and I'm not lacking the room to store it. The guy who uses it now bought an inverter for the three phase which he says he will throw in.
So what do you reckon. He wants £1200 plus £250 for the inverter. is this a good price? The jointer is tidy enough but I somehow wonder if I'm better off buying a sheppach pt in the future, also own a small scheppach bandsaw whic could be sold on while I use the behemoth startrite. The table saw is probably the best piece of kit am I wrong of being a bit wary of 3 phase and inverters? i may get him down to a grand...
