Had a shaving brush which came with some smellies I was given for christmas. The handle was a horrible square block of some man made rubbish. So extracted the bristles and turned a new handle. Here are some shots.

Nice,

Is the black ring a part of the brush insert?

Great idea malcolm. I have one of those brushes but never thought about giving it a proper handle. Will give it a try.

Cheers,

Dave

You can buy those brushes much cheaper than the kits as well. Ideal for small gifts and / or sales i'd have thought

Thanks for all your replies. The black ring is about 12mm deep and the bristles are fixed to that. I am sure that I have seen kits, but as this was in a smelly christmas gift, I did want to throw it out. Hence the new handle. There is one problem, I have had a beard for about 20 years now :norm: So its a pure decoration item. :D

I do get requests for shaving brushes once in a while, but I always considered shaving to be an unnatural act. Good job.
