the concept is very simple.
grind slightly low, 23 deg. this means more sharpenings between grindings, maybe 7.
Raise minute wire edge on coarse stone, 800g ish, very fast.
I use @33 degrees for bench plane blades.
shorten blade in jig by say 2 to 3 mm, go to superfine stone, 8000grit. (i.e. @ 35 degrees for Bench plane blade.)
Polish extreme tip with four V. gentle strokes. ( saves polishing whole of 800 bevel which could take much longer as the bevel gets wider after six or seven sharpenings.
Flip over and do ruler trick, or flat on superfine (to taste!) to polish off wire edge. Done in approx 4 minutes. The ruler trick makes this final stage much quicker, more efficient & less sticktion!
