Hi, I need to change the blades on my Sedgwick PT255, I got it secondhand and it's the first time I will have changed them. I have the manual but seem to have hit an issue straight away. As I loosen the cutter retaining bolts I've found them really stiff, so stiff that I can't turn the Allen key without using an adjustable spanner over the short end of the Allen key for leverage.
I'm very worried about snapping one of the bolts with every thing so tight, can anyone confirm that they need to be turned right to loosen or is it left as I'd expect?
Once they are loose then the blade should come out should it not? It doesn't feel like anything wants to move at all freely at the moment.
Also any guidance on what sort of torque I should use to tighten if and when I get the blade out would be great- any guidance much appreciated I'm definitely suffering from first time fear doing this.

Penetrating oil and wind the bolt in and out a little increasing how much you turn it out each time. It’s probably got sawdust etc into the threads.

also can I check - is it the two bolts I'm loosening here next to the blades or the four larger ones as per the second photo?
