Securing backing on mirrors - flexipoints?

I'm looking for a quick and efficient way of securing the mirror glass & backing on large oak mirror frames , I see that Lee Valley have a Picture Framer's Point Gun at a reasonable price , but would this work for a large piece of mirror glass and ensure that there would be no movement in the glass. All suggetions welcome , cheers , paulc
