Ho ho ho 42 sleeps to go ✨✨✨✨✨✨️, I hope the Christmas magic is in full flow by now, I'm having an absolute blast working on my gift and not a single shaving created in the process so far 😉🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😉
Don't forget to keep an eye on postage times and try get posted sooner if possible, with 23 of us in total I'm super excited for Christmas day, as in previous years a separate thread will be started just for photos, discussions about the gifts can be carried out on this thread.
The only downside to being Santa's PA this year is that I don't get to have fun trying to work out who sent each gift 🙃🤪🤪
🎅🤶🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

Prototype has been prototyped, list of improvements generated, and now on with the actual build. Much more straightforward item than in some previous years, which is sensible given I’ve a window to finish and fit before Xmas.

I'm sure it will be amazing and great fully recieved 😊

I am hoping to get into the workshop next weekend to make my secret santa
Good man 😊
I should be further into mine but having the dog we rescued has meant I can't really get out to the makerspace as he freaks out when we put him in the cage but we can't risk leaving him alone with our two girls. Probably won't get a lot of time over the weekend either as we have Surrey fire and rescue coming in Tuesday to do an audit of the site and as the school gas meter is in the makerspace they will want to see in there so I need to clean up and de-dust.

I’m grounded as my son has borrowed my car while his has a gearbox rebuild. The upside is it means additional workshop time so I have nearly finished my Secret Santa gift. Hopefully I’ll have it done by the end of this coming week ready to post out at the beginning of December .
(This is extraordinarily organised/ahead of the game for me).

Our whole postal system is on strike! Nothing moving. Not accepting any mail til strike over and then everything will be moving slow as I know from past experience govt will legislate them back before Christmas, I think the longest time they have been allowed on strike before was 30 days, shortest 7. It's a waiting game.

I'm sure your recipient will be more than happy to wait a little while for your gift 😉

I will, and he should not post his until strike over here as it will just sit in some warehouse with a bunch of mad posties! In the past they get legislated back to work anywhere from 5-30 days from beginning of strike from looking at the last strikes over the last 10-15 years.

I belong to a similar secret santa on another Forum, this year I am sending a "Detached Mohican" and a "Electric Blue Cascade" anyone care to guess what sort of Forum it is, if you know resist answering, the guess's could be quite interesting.

I don’t know. You know how long it takes to write step by step instructions with diagrams just to assemble!
Well I spent some time out there today trying to do the hardest part and have had to go a different route and redesign a large part of it, giving up trying to design then build and going back to what I do best and just wing it 🤪🤪🤪🤪

…. going back to what I do best and just wing it 🤪🤪🤪🤪

That’s my favourite mode of operation. Usually works out alright in the end.
No pressure but my SS is ready to go and I’m nearly done on a second one (which is a commission for someone who saw the first one). 😉

I'm usually done early, would probably be done by now if we didn't have the rescue dog here for over a week.

LOL - winging it is my ONLY method of operation - no matter how much planning precedes the job.
Solely on account of dynamically rescuing either a poor plan or poor workmanship.
Normally both.
🤡
