Have just sent out the overseas matches, I still have a couple of guys willing to post outside the UK so if you are an overseas member and want to join in there is still time to make and send but be quick. For everyone else I will email out the matches 1st November.

Yep - (but 1st world problem and I’m not bitter enough to not hope he’s still fit and well just not woodworking anymore it seems).

Yeah, I think he was relatively active before that so would think there's a valid reason

As SVB says, I hope Gary is well but there is the possibility that his absence was caused by unpleasant reasons and chances are any family he has won't consider informing his forums etc if they are even aware of them.

It's preferred that it's something you've made but if you're stuck for ideas it's perfectly acceptable to buy something, we've never put spend limits on it, everyone is an adult and able to decide for themselves what they are able/willing to give, i dont think anyone has been disappointedso far.
