I did witness a car boot seller being nicked by the police once, as the farmer who had tools nicked went round the local sales and spotted his gear so rang plod who came and ruined the sellers day!

Occasionally the police raid one of my local car-boots, generally when it's in full swing so nobody can easily get out. They generally catch a few dodgy dealers.

different day different car boot sale. as it was chilly my wife and I donned the hi viz jackets from the boot and went looking for bargains. we kept getting funny looks and I them I twigged, I had black jeans and hi viz, she had a black skirt black handbag and hi viz.... we witnessed several items being put back in the boot as we wandered round.!!
