Hi Guys
I need to purchase a scrollsaw asap, but money is tight at the moment so i cant afford a good trade rated one as i would like, so can anyone suggest a cheaper (hobbyist) model, that will still handle a decent thickness with acceptable results. i realise this will have to be a compromise

many thanks

Hi Mr beaver

Normally the first suggestion would be to post in the 'Scrolling- Scroll saws' section. But, as it happens, my father-in-law has a Record RSSS160 two speed machine, made in 2002, which has had virtually no use. He subsequently bought a Delta machine as he needed a longer arm and couldn't get on with the Record. If you're interested I'll get it out of the garage, check it runs and photograph it. I'm in Chichester.

Misterfish

Just been out to check and it is a RSSS16D - I got the 'D' mixed up with a '0' in the gloom.

Thanks Misterfish
thankyou for your reply, but i might just have an old delta coming my way at the right price, just needs a good clean i think. but should this not happen i will certainly contact you.
regards
