Hi does any one have any info about Peter gee scroll/frett saws think there English and made treadle and power saws
Cheers Alan

The only thing I know about them is that they were marketed by the revived Hobbies company and sold from around the early 1970's until about 1992. It was quite a basic machine by today's standards and was based on the top of a treadle machine with the treadle part removed and a motor fitted instead. The saw did not have any quick release or any such innovations and had a simple on/off switch. When they first appeared from hobbies they were sold for around £36 but by 1991 they were listing them at £165 which was a lot considering how basic the saw was.

The treadle version was very similar to the original Hobbies Gem fretsaw and sold for £27 in 1976 and £105 by 1992.
