Of late I have been experiencing severe stomach pains just below my rib cage. Went to the Doctor, she couldn't find anything wrong, but suspected it might me muscular.

I did start to clear up on its own, which made me think the Doc was right.
During this time I've not been on the scroll saw, until yesterday. After about an hour I had the same awful pains back again.

I checked the height of my old cheapy scroll saw and found that the Hegner was about 1" lower than the cheapy.
One of todays jobs was to raise the Hegner up that 1" and give it a test run. Would you believe that all is now OK.

So the moral of the story is, make sure you have it at the right height for you.

Yes I would go along with your findings Waka . ! find that the least deviation from what I am used to and I am crippled with pain .The least adjustment to anything makes a vast difference .
Even to wearing a belt.

i have a really bad habit of tilting my head to the left while cutting sometimes, which leads to me getting a crick in the neck and it can be quite painful sometimes..
