I'm not in the market for one of these, and I don't want to induce a debate or a 'beauty parade' as to which type of welder is best for small DIY jobs. Just wanted to mention that Aldi have launched this welder as a 'Special Buy' for £99.00 (online only - not in store), which I thought might be of interest,:

It's fan cooled, and as with all small welders, the higher the amperage used, the worse becomes the duty cycle, at 130 Amps, it's 25%, but at 65 Amps for light work, it's 100%:
