Hi everyone,

Yesterday, while cutting some pine, my Scheppach HS110 table saw suddenly stopped working, and I noticed smoke coming out of it. The motor was extremely hot and took about 40 minutes to cool down. The saw is integrated into a table with a custom-made fence, which works great, so I’m hesitant to replace the entire setup if it’s not necessary.

I’ve attached some pictures of the motor for reference. Based on the symptoms and the photos, does it look like the motor is "cooked"? Is it worth repairing, or should I consider investing in a better table saw altogether?

I’m not in the best place financially right now, so my preference would be to repair this table saw if possible, so I can use it for a few more years. However, I’d like to hear your honest opinions on whether that’s a realistic option or if I should start looking for a replacement.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Same happened to my Scheppach. I stalled the saw making a blind cut so all my fault not the saw, the replacement motor wasn't expensive and easy to change. It's a cheep saw but I am pleased with mine as a way to learn without wrecking a more expensive machine, I'd just contact their customer service for spares who I have found very helpful.
