Scam Call

Hi chaps,

Earlier today my mum received a call from an "Unknown Number".

Man on phone claimed he was from Santander and that there had been an unauthorised payment made.

She ended the call immediately and telephoned Santander USING A DIFFERENT PHONE and after going through the security questions reported the incident.

Santander confirmed that there had not been any unauthorised payments, which confirmed her suspicion that it was indeed a scam.

Good for her. I managed to keep one of these scrotes talking long enough to leave a trace for the local technocops to follow; turns out call originated in Vancoever...Vancoover...Vancouvoer...west coast of Canada! Maybe they (Scrotus perfidus) had sophisticated software to mask their country of origin and 'move' the recorded base of call, but just shows you how inventive and devious S.p.'s are getting?
