Does anyone have plans that would turn my circular saw to saw table or know where i may get plans.Have uses for a large table but cannot afford to go and purchase an all singing and dancing one :?

I'm sure others will have more to contribute, however, I'd have some concerns about flipping a handheld over and mounting in a table. Issues around fence alignment and lack of a riving knife resulting in kickback spring to mind!

Some people have made use of a kind of sled that they clamp to the work for accurate cutting of sheet material, it's better than just a straight edge as the edge of the sled is where the blade actually cuts which make it more acurate than trying to line up by eye.

Black and decker used to do a conversion plate to take a saw, for use in their workmate, it replace one of the halves of the top. Don't like the idea although it did have guards and your saw should have come with a riving knife.

There are a couple of third party products that can do this, the triton workcetnre and the festool, but i'm guessing these might be out of your budget aswell as they are just short of the cost of a tablesaw.

Another cheap way would be to buy a 'contractor's saw' ; these seem to be quite a bit cheaper than a fully fledged tablesw.

i think i go with buying a contractor's saw as the bigist sheet wood i will be cutting is 4x2 foot

The contractor's saw is not designed to work to repeatable tolerances. It is built, at a price, to be good enough.

If you go down this path, the first thing you will need to do is to buy/build your own fence to get repeatable and/or accurate cuts.

Cheers,
Neil
