Thanks John.......

I forgot to post earlier as I noticed this.

I took advantage this time!!! I ordered a Veritas 20tpi dovetail saw, Veritas marking gauge and 2 saddle squares (like a muppet as I wanted the dovetail ones :( - They had posted them before I could cancel :( - but they were out of stock anyway :( ) Had an email telling me they are coming tomorrow!! Cannot fault the service!

I'll let you know if anything turns up later for a bit of confidence! I no the marking gauge won't as they won't have stock until Tuesday!

Had to buy a Veritas scraper and holder with this discount. I did fancy some (3) of the Japanese round rasps, but what a price. I will leve them until I win the premium bonds.

Received my scraper and hoder this morning. What a heavy bit of kit. Quite clever. No more burned thumbs for me. Well done Rutlands. It is always worth waiting for their offers as the postage costs a bomb.

Almost ready to unsubscribe from the regular Rutlands emails. They come every day now always with an offer. Not sure that 10% off is 'a real' deal but it's got to the point where if you pay full price at Rutlands you're getting a bad deal!

I am really happy with my Rutland deal Veritas scraper holder. It is brilliant. However they have cancelled my 2 year old order on a Dakota dowel jig. Must now make my own "mortisepal" device instead. I am waiting for Workshop Heaven to give an offer, then I will buy a pair of Quangsheng spokeshaves. I am building a few fretted instruments and I am not happy with my old 151 Record spokeshaves whick at least have a smaller mouth than the ones at school. The difference between QS blades and Stanley Record ones is immense, so I am sure that the QS spokeshaves will be a joy to use.
