Maybe it's a North/South thing, but I've never really understood why Mr G provokes this reaction.

Much of what he says is with a self-depricating tongue firmly in his cheek. Do some people not see that?

Who said we had a poor opinion of Grimsdale. He wasn't the villain of the piece IMHO. An opionion shared by defectors including Alf.
