RSDE2 vs Axminster/Numatic NVD750

Hi

After my previous thread asking for tips on what dust extractor solution for both chip collection and dust extraction (e.g. P/T & a Domino) I've narrowed my search down to the RSDE2 vs Axminster/Numatic NVD750.

As I read on these hallowed forums that the RSDE2 will do all that I require, can anyone quickly say what advantages the NVD750 would provide? Is one quieter than the other, for example? Or more efficient? Or better suited to a plumbed system?

I had an RSDE2 it was great as a powertool machine but let down majorly by a a few points, extremely noisy, tipped over when pulled about due to its design, the lid had to be rested on the unit not fastened, again easy to knock off. And it won't do chippings via a 100mm hose. I upgraded to a Festool vac that has just as much suck, but is quieter and hooks up to the domino with no fuss and can be pulled around without falling over.

No experience of the NVD machine.

It won't do chips via a 100mm hose? Why not?

Which festool vac did you get and will it do both powertools and the big shop tools like a P/T?

Yeah it just doesn't have the suck to suck via a 100mm hose.

The festool vac is just a vac for powertools.

The only machine I know of that does both P/T and Powertools well is the CamVac range. Lots of people have them on here. Most commonly people buy a vac for powertools and a chip extractor for P/T.

I don't have the funds for that. :? As I understand it the NVD750 will do both?

Well the reviews on the Axys site all say its excellent as a 100mm extractor, and if your not happy with it Axy will take it back no quibbles.

I have just got rid of my RSDE2 as I found it didn't really offer enough suck. It was fine for power tools through an adaptor, but not for 100mm machines. I now use twin motor vacs with bigger machines, and small Earlex vac (through a cyclone) for general shop hoovering and extraction from power tools.

Very useful to know, knappers. Anyone else care to offer anecdotal evidence in support of the NVD750 being able to do both jobs?
