I'm in the process of organizing my shed (workshop - ha ha), and one of the things I need to do is make everything mobile.
I want to start with a new router table. I really like the old cast iron machines, so thought why not use these as inspiration for the way the thing will look.
Did a quick sketch and came up with this.

I'll refine it over the coming weeks and hopefully do a WIP once it's started.
The plan is to get hold of a worm gear for the rise/fall adjustment (hence the handwheel). Anyone know of online suppliers who'll supply just one set?

That's very similar in style to mine.

I didn't need a lift mechanism as I have a Trend T11 which has the screw lift which lets you raise the router through the top.

I did think about putting some wheels on the side but then decided to build another RT which will be of a "knock-down" type.

I've already made the insert plate.
