Hi all

Been pondering about making a router and down draft sanding station combined using the down draft station as an either in/out feed table top to assist the router whilst materials is fed through .

I have never used a down draft sanding station before are they any good , could do with all the info on them i can get IE: thing like dimensions hole sizes motor size extraction pipe size etc any info you might have . has any one combine both together before if so care to share any pics on them or just share your thoughts on this any info would be a great help , many thanks in advance.hc

Hi jonnyd

the dust from the down draft is not intended to be pulled past the router it s to have it's own extraction , I'm looking for a way to combine both station into one but need to know more about the down station dimensions as i stated in the original thread. hc

I've always liked the idea of a downdraft table, but never witnessed anyone who actually has one? I guess space is one problem?

Hi tom

yes that one reason why I'm going to try and combine the two station into one both to have there own extraction outlets so they can be operated independent of each other , don't yet know if i 'll place the down draft as either a in feed or out feed table to the router so it double up when using the router . but need to know more about the down draft .hc

I have one commercial downdraft table, but it has a built in vacuum system, that is essential 5 small motors covered with filters...the dust falls to the bottom, then you have 2 drawers to empty the dust.
