I’ve a basic bench top router table that I’m sure as sold by the thousand - mine is marketed by trend but I’ve seen all brands printed on them.
One of the issues when using it with an equally budget router is that you need to be an octopus to set the height - one hand to hold the rule / depth guide / workpiece, one hand to raise the router and the third to lock it all off when in the right position.
Don’t know about you, but unless you’re from the small village on the outskirts of....., well, you know where I mean, but most of us are at least one hand short.
So, I was browsing the well known auction site and saw these mini lab tables. For a £10 delivered I thought you can’t go wrong so I ordered one. It is brilliant. Easy fine adjustment and quite well made.
You can even get them in posh blue anodised aluminium for another £10 on top. Only issue to be aware of is that most routers rely on the top (bottom in a table) for ventilation so I just slide it out of the way when I’ve locked the router in position if I’m doing more than the odd cut.
Hope of interest to someone. No connections with vendor etc etc.
