I’ve soaked them in washing machine liquid overnight before and it did make a difference but the cheap bits seem to last as long as the more expensive ones.

Maybe they’re different if used on hardwoods?

I’ll try some meths. It’ll be quicker than an over night soak. Thanks

Are these worth buying over cheap bits?

I cut pine 99% of the time and the resin sticks to the cutter and a 3 quid router bit lasts as long as a 17 quid Trend bit.

Try a wealden bit, they're far superior to trend and last a long time! Nowadays trend is just overpriced Chinese crap IMO.

Thanks. I’ve had a look and they list quite a few roundover/ovolo bits so I’ll have to measure my current bit and get one ordered. I still have 4 Trend ones left to tie me over.
