Has anyone used Microjig MJ splitter?

I have a startrite 255, but its riving knife wasn't with it on purchase. I was going to make my own, or indeed source a replacement, but then stumbled on this product.
I have no knowledge of it at all, apart from an advert and a few you tube videos.
Has anyone used one?

I think it's a great solution for any saw that doesn't have a riving knife fitment.
But if the riving knife is just missing, the replacing it would be my preference.

The only advantage of that I can see is that it can be easily removed if you are not making cuts all the way through, then it might also be just as easy to either forget to refit or it comes out on it's own accord so having the OEM's riving knife has to be the safest solution.
