Good evening everyone, I wonder if some of you have experience with the Robert Sorby Patriot Chuck

thanks Max

I have one and it a very nice piece of kit, smooth action, easy to change the jaws, nice ball end hex key.
Its great.
The button jaws are a good investment.

You get a rubber band that sits around the edge and protects you fingers against the edges if your jaws are wide open.
This did not last very long, perished because of contact with diferent finishes.
If you contact Sorby they will send you another one free but it is exactly the same as one of those charity wrist bands, so mine is now advertising my schools festival of sport last summer.

Its great :D

Hi Max,

I have been using one for about 2 years and can't really add anything to what Rich has already said, It's excellent.

Regards

Steve :D

yep I have it and like it. My band has also gone west. I have the 2inch and 4 inch jaws which seems to work for the stuff I do at the moment. It would be nice to have a set of cole jaws but I'll probably end up making those.

I also have one and cannot fault it. I also had a perished rubber band, and Sorby replaced it straight away.

My only issue is the list of possible added extras you can buy. I can see myself spending money on a whole selection of new jaws :D

A section of motorcycle inner tube is a great replacement for the sorby band. Find a Royal Enfield Indian seller and you might find an old inner tube.
