Does anyone know a manufacturer of different thickness riving knives for a table saw?
My table saw has a 2.5 mm kerf and I am looking for a 1.8mm riving knife as I like to use a much finer blade
Any ideas - short of paying someone to make one or grind a thicker one down
Thanks

Should be really easy to make yourself. Even B&Q sell A4 sized sheets of metal or you could buy some the right thickness at metalsupermarket. Especially easy if you have a stationary belt sander if not it's the old hack saw and a file job.

I have purchased knives for my SIP about £7 i think you could then have them surface ground to your requirements.

just to complete this thread.... in the end I ordered a 6" x 18" x 1/16" steel plate from Tilgear for £13 - then cut it with a festool metal cutting jigsaw blade which was like a knife through butter - then filed the edges down - the end result is marvelous - I can finally stop using a thin-kerf blade without constantly being quite so terrified about kick-back etc
Thanks to everyone for your helpful replies

I have been following this thread, first job at work is to make myself one as well, a bit wary of messing with circular saws, but is does seem an obvious solution.
