Hi All,

I am planning an outdoor table with some lettering CNC engraved. To make the writing stand out I am thinking about resin filling the letters.

Some advise please on how successful it will be. This will be my first shot at using resin so a little cautious!

The table will be stored inside during the winter months and will be some sort of hard wood.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi havent used resin on engraving yet ( but will be on a sign ive made soon! ) but used it plenty of times for knot holes etc.... sands back well, work through the grits to about 1200 wet n dry and the scratches will disappear

If you decide to do that then don’t have V grove letters as the moisture changes will pop the resin out, make sure whatever wood you use can stand being damp as the area under the resin will probably be continuously of higher moisture content .
