I want to replace my daughter's Union 2 lever door lock with a five lever.

I cannot see any Union ones designed as in the picture for a non-flat door.

Does anyone know of a different make that may work?

Most if not all the 5 lever rebated sashlocks are just a normal 5 lever sashlock with a rebate kit added, horrible things to fit.......

Sadly not - but thanks. That is for a flat sided door - not one with that lip

Like Doug71 says, you'll need a sashlock and the corresponding rebate kit. I can confirm they're a chore to fit.

A rebate kit means that the lock manufacturers don't have to make rebated versions of all their locks It is a saving for them, paid for by those poor souls who have to fit them. .

The back-end looks standard. Can you not replace the guts/levers?

Many thanks to all for your replies - so it looks like it isn't going to be a five minute swap out.

Is it just me, or do others find that when daughters start a request with "Daddy, please could you just . . . " that it isn't going to be "just" a five minute task?

Take the lock to a lock smiths and ask if the internals can be upgraded as Henniep suggestion

Yes - it does - as I say, not a five minute swap out! But this is probably the way I'll go.

I am not sure a "guts change" is ideal as insurers like things to be BS standard - which the ERA lock appears to be.

The ERA Viscount range of locks as in Sachkins link are not BS3621, from ERA you need their Fortress range to comply, they have the hardened side plates and longer throw bolt which is required.

It is when anybody says "can you just", or "its just a little thing".....
What does "just" mean? It puts the tradesman on the back foot, and suggests that the job, however tricky or flat out impossible it may be, does not warrant proper pay.
My standard response now is "Why don't you "just" do it then?" and listen to their explanation before explaining what is actually involved.

That "...just..." is always a red flag trigger, and in my head the price "just" went up too

I replaced the locks in our house with ones that take euro cylinders, worth considering?

After that swapping the lock in case of lost keys for example is trivial.
