Repairing a bulge on a stag minstrel chest of drawers

if its designed to look like it was painted by a child, what difference is a patch of filler going to make? It might well "add" to the perceived charm. :shock:

Its not my style, but as I said, each to their own. 8)

We had a lot of Stag furniture in it's day and it was always sold to us as solid wood, and appeared to be so.

Then I remembered that we still had one piece left, a coffee table. Clearly the wood is stained but certainly does not appear to be veneered. If it is, then they have gone to a hell of a lot of trouble on the mouldings.

Anyway, as others have said, it's being painted, so sand it, fill it and paint it.
