We are repositioning the appliances and the sink. For the next few months, there would be no sink.

Should I attach the earthing to both pipes like it was previously, considering that only the appliances are there?

P.S. I will redo the pipes, so they are the same height, will need to buy spare olives

Strange- that appears to be bonding the cold water system and the hot water system together???

I would hope thats not the only bonding involved!!!
Either way- put it back (and ideally you should have both systems checked afterwards to ensure they are both bonded to earth properly)

Yes, and the taps had been connected to the aluminium, I think, sink before I removed it.

I cannot seem to fit the old clamps back, will have to run to the shop tomorrow. Should not be a problem to reuse the earth cable, right?
