Hi again
A new project for me; I am needing to slate 2 of my buildings (1) 12m x 4m equalised apex roof. & (2) 3.5m x 0.9m and 1.8m apex roof.
Both roofs are about 30* pitch with good sized timbers
I attach a simple illustrative pic.
Has anyone used REDLAND MINI STONEWOLD SLATE bieng an interlocking roof tile/slate.
I gather it is advisable to nail every 3rd row or more in very windy locations.
Redland vid on youtube seems to say a small metal side holder should be used on every slate.
I was hoping I could set out my battens at the correct guage and simply lay most rows without any nails or anything else.
I welcome your practical advice.
