Anyone near Didcot or Abingdon who can help a beginner?

Hello All,

Looking for some wood turning tuition near Didcot/Abingdon - I've seen there is a local club which I intend to join but though I'd put a note on here as well.

I've never turned at all, but have an old lathe here and want to start turning some bits.

Was looking at courses, but they are all quite far away from here and don't fancy the drive!

Joe, you will be most welcome at our Club (Didcot and District Woodturning Club). Our next meeting is on Wednesday 25th of this month at Harwell Village Hall at 7:30pm. We usually have five lathes in operation and have two AWGB Approved Tutors amongst our members along with others who have many years of experience.
