Record Carving Chisels.

Anyone have any experience with Record carving chisels?

Or Record chisels in general, by that I mean the current range. I fancy a set of carving chisels and eBay oldies are going for silly money. I quite fancy the Record ones but don't want to buy poor quality ones. I've looked at the Axminster ones but they've got some bad reviews.

have you looked at ashley iles- that would be my preference. IMHO, chisels from a chisel making company will be far better in quality, even if you got less for your money.

I bought a set of the Record carving chisels and am now steadily replacing them with Ashley Iles tools.
