Hi
I have just bought a new Record 350S Bandsaw ,however when the table is fastened to the Trunnion with the four allen screws it does not look at all square to the machine when viewed from the left hand side, before I take the table off again ,is there any adjustment to the trunnion itself ---- I don't mean the tilt of the table, it just looks wrong the Wife pointed it out !!!!!!!!
Regards to all and have a great Christmas
Richard

i just got the bs400, haven't properly set it up yet but popped the table on and mine is the same. also when i lock it at 0, any weight on the table it easily moves it so it would bevel a cut.

First of all I must say that I am not complaining Re: saw. and as all know if I were to post a picture of the saw and table it would be from the worst possible angle and not at all fair to Record. lets face it ,it may be that it is meant to be like that.
It just seems a little strange, and I am not used to these small saws.
I will give Record a ring when I have had a better look at it.
regards
Richard

If it were me I would take the table off and then remove the trunnion. There is a plate welded to the main frame on which the Trunnion sits, I would check that this is square to the frame. A small error may be acceptable but if it's way off I would contact Record Power and see what they have to say. If it's reasonably square (to the frame) then I would check that the trunnion parts are undamaged and sitting on the mounting plate correctly. The next thing to check are the mounting lugs on the underside of the table - are they all machined flat and equidistant to the top of the table? Slight corrections can be made with washers on several of the mounting points if required. As said, it doesn't matter too much if you're cutting slightly "uphill" or "downhill" in relation to the blade but I'd personally still like to see it reasonably flat. We really need pictures though, preferably with the table fitted and then removed so we can see the trunnion...

All sorted now, I loosened all the bolts Allen screws and realigned the table it is now near enough for me.
Thanks for all the advice folk
Regards Richard.
