Read/Unread Topics

is it just me/my browser/crappy PC/corrupted cookie etc, or does anyone else have recurrent problems with threads not sticking as 'read' after they've been read?

Just an occasional mishap, you might have touched the wrong heading on the email as well perhaps?

No, bigger than that, it just forgets entire visits, sometimes several.

And then rather more annoyingly on some threads instead of jumping to the real first unread post near the end of the thread it takes me to the same post in the middle of thread over and over again.

OK, the cookie dies. I'll see if that sorts it.

I find it only resets when you close the browser window. So if I go to here, read posts then surf to other sites and then come back later, it still goes to the original 'unread' post. Not usually a problem, but if I am at work I can have a browser window open for hours then come back and it makes a huge impact. A simple close and open usually solves it though.

I get the same. Most of the time it's fine but every now and then posts I have read just won't mark as read and other times, more annoyingly, there are loads of new posts and they all show as being already viewed.

Tried deleting cookies but no difference, happens on both my pc's and has no apparent pattern so I just assumed it's a glitch.

I'm getting that too, most annoying it is. Also if I close the tab, often by mistake, and then come back, many of the forums I've not read are marked as read?

I've just had 6 email notifications that have taken upto 90 minutes to be notified and usually they come through within a few minutes.
