On a serious note folks...

I haven't ever seen a rat in or around my property. (Doesn't mean there are none I know). But I do have the occasional mouse.

I prop up a pasteurised milk bottle, with some food in the bottom and a ramp up to the neck. Once inside the mice can't climb back up the neck.
If it's a field mouse I let it go. Otherwise. it's the chop. Haven't caught any housey-mouseys lately so I think it's worked.
