Hi

I have a piece of PAR 1 1/4 * 3/8 Ash 20" long which I want to put a radius on all four edges so it rounded. Any suggestion in how I may do this would be appreciated - I have been looking at router bits but not sure if it will do what I want or can justify the one off cost of a bit.

Thanks

Another option is to use a roundover bit in a router table, but leaving a bit square at either end of the piece so there is something to ride against the fence. The ends can then be chopped off afterwards.

I was looking at roundover bits but having not used one I was unsure as to what size to order or how to set it up on the table.

I can see it woudk do half of what I want, this round two corners - I need to round all four corners - there would be nothing to guide the bearing on 3 and 4 - is that correct?

That's what I have been looking for, many thanks. I'll add it to my list of options

Hence my suggestion of using a router table and keeping either end of the workpiece square so there is a reference surface to run against the fence...
