Well the batten is taking all the weight, the glue is just holding it to the wall. But in answer, yes, I stuck a flexi knife between it and the wall about 20 mins after setting it in place and the plaster on the wall started to give way before there was any sign of it moving so I'm confident :D

Has a **** of a lot of stick that hot melt glue.

That's interesting as I will need to stick one of those up in the not too distant future.

Maybe I'll try hot-melt glue!
