QUALITY BRASS SCREW SUPPLIER??

could anyone listening out there recommend someone (UK or Europe) that supplies decent small brass screws of a similar quality as commonly found in antiques or furniture up to the first half of the 20th century? Am currently trying to source some brass 5x1/2s roundhead for a jewellery box restoration. Also frequently looking for better quality small screws for hinges of new cabinetry I make - ie not the usual gash from s....fix etc but something with a beautifully clean cut thread that actually grips.

I can supply machine screws which are perfect for this, they have a cut thread and are very neat and well machined - I use them on all my boxes as I find small wood screws to be pretty poor.

The 6BA 1/2" brass screw should be what you want - send me your address and I'll send you a few samples of various sizes.

I will also supply the correct size drill bit for these.
