I think it’s because Supreme Leader Tony is not sure if the burger van and kebab shop count as separate businesses …
I'll tell you what, from the tripe I read on here most of the people who run burger vans or Kebab shops like my mate Mo (guess where he's from and what religion he follows) would run rings around you fringe lefties when it comes to business acumen, judging by the nonsense posted on here. Those guys live in the real world and have the drive and determination to create their own jobs and not live off PAYE jobs and boo at those who provide their own living.

My daughters would walk over most of you lot when it comes to identifying a gap in a market, setting up and running businesses.. I can assure you they aren't impressed by moron Starmer's tax raids on their businesses and the extra money they will have to raise. Inevitably it will mean charging their customers extra or cutting back on staff. They had the 2008 crash then Covid to deal with and then a recession caused by conflict in Ukraine and just when they thought it couldn't get any worse the public vote in Starmer.

Like many thousands of others they've just about got out of the house rental market due to the way legislation is going to tie up their investments and make it almost impossible to make a reasonable profit on their investment so let's hope Starmer comes up with the goods where his housebuilding 'pledge' is concerned as there are going to be an awful lot of struggling renters who will be chasing a diminishing house rental stock and that will ultimately mean higher rents until this newly built housing stock is concerned.
If he delivers 20% of his promised new builds I'd be flabbergasted.

Tripe = Good?
My Father was raised in Yorkshire, so I know about these things...

It’s not what we voted for simply because the remoaners won’t implement it properly.
I once bought an expensive car once that had lots of things wrong with it, I never did get it working properly

it turns out if you choose something bad, theres nothing that can be done

OK now tell everyone how many businesses you've actually run successfully which supports your strong opinions. I reckon you've never run one or it was unsuccessful.
I am very happy to Tony, but it would only be polite for you to go first and tell what businesses youve run.........

The way I see it playing out is the threat will be there, Canada will adjust its border policies (which tbf are weak AF) and trump will hold off on tariffs, or notch them down. See yesterdays announcement re conversation with the Mexican president.
I'm not sure your last line did Mexico enough justice. From the Tweets I've seen from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, she was pretty clear that if he goes ahead and does that, then there will be retaliatory Tariffs on US products coming into Mexico. She also pointed out that it would harm both countries, hitting US brands such as Ford and GM that have been in Mexico for many decades.

Also hit back at the drug claims and pointed out if the American citizens weren't all consuming them, there would be far less of a problem with drugs being trafficked through Mexico, as they aren't made in Mexico. Coupled with that, she pointed out that the majority of illegal firearms in Mexico are coming from those smuggled across from the US.

As for the migrant caravan (a scary phrase with no meaning) the number of migrants at the US border have fallen dramatically in the past year or so. No doubt something that Trump will suddenly claim to be something he did once he takes over.

Yes, Biden did a lot of diplomacy and Mexico responded by stopping much of the flow across their borders - numbers down 75% last year. Trump is just talking himself up as usual as the big tough guy, ready to take credit for the hard work that preceded him (until he wrecks it at least).
