Well look, whoever owns it and whatever country it's in, it's clearly the kind of channel that isn't interested in simple factual non-partisan reporting.

This isn't a new thing but I've always loathed Daily Fail, all tabloids, these days the Evening Standard is a joke, a rag like the Metro is a joke, Telegraph is just shocking, virtually a tabloid masquerading as a broadsheet. I've never been a great fan of the Guardian but for actual facts, if you can get through the editorial, it's that and the Financial Times (I guess, when I can get around the paywall) <shrug> . I typically look at Reuters but they have a paywall these days as well.

On TV, obviously if you like GB News you also need your head examining (yes you do, it's obvious), BBC has not been good I think for a long time. Sky is sensationalist and abysmal. In its own way, Channel 4 News is sensationalist and abysmal, never really liked it. Are ITN and Channel 5 still a thing? TV journalism always sucked I think. These days I dunno, I don't have a TV licence, I only stream and surf, so out of touch.

Well it looks like it is not all rosy between biden and trump after all, looks like Biden wants to ensure Trump has a real mess to sort out as he has now said Ukraine can use American long range missiles against Russia, the Russian argument has been that these missiles only function with NATO based data from NATO military systems and therefore it means NATO is directly involved. Biden might be trying to cause massive instability and he knows he has nothing to loose.

Get a spine.

Reagan and Thatcher would have been ashamed of that sort of supine attitude (already too much of it in the State Department for the last 4 years).

Got to stand up to fascists, even if only from narrow self interest as we'll be on the target list.

Tony - it’s Sky News Australia which is owned (as is Fox News) by Rupert Murdoch. Try to keep up!
Of course it's SKY News Australia. Did I say it wasn't?
I think the clue is in the accents.
I find the Aussie Sky News very entertaining as they're not the least bit woke and give a different perspective on items of news to what you'd normally hear from other mainstream media outlets.

Biden is a weasel, I wouldn't put anything past that man.
Clearly it's all designed to destabilise Trump when he takes office but that is typical of the Democrats. They lost the election so they will sabotage the next government when it takes office, just they did the last time.
These are dangerous slimy people intent on bringing down Trump even if it brings the USA & NATO into direct conflict with Russia. They're certainly not patriots that's for sure and it's no wonder Trump won with a landslide margin.

Thats because they literally were banned from broadcasting on FTA TV here in Australia for DECADES (and after a considerable donation to the Libs party fund, were suddenly allowed (a very limited) FTA licence- however their ratings have never gotten into the double digit level and they are constantly under threat of losing that limited FTA licence...

That's why they use the sats- because they literally can't get a proper broadcast licence here (well couldn't)

Hell, they are the last place to allow Alan bloody Jones to spread his racist, sexist filth on air...
(he makes trump look positively left leaning and sane in comparison...)

Not woke???- they are literally so far to the right, they can't be seen with the Hubble telescope!!!

So claiming that it is …

an alternative view from the usual left wing sympathetic woke mainstream media.

… is incorrect. Do try to keep up.

'Washington’s decision on ATACMS is couched in terms of being limited to the defence of Ukrainian forces inside Russia's Kursk region, where Kyiv launched a surprise incursion in August.

In effect, the Biden administration is telling Ukraine that it will support its efforts to hold onto the small chunk of Russian territory it currently occupies, as a powerful bargaining chip for any possible negotiations in the future.'

Kuzan said:
“It’s not something that will change the course of the war, but I think it will make our forces more equal.”
ATACMS can reach up to 300km (186 miles). Unnamed US officials have told the New York Times and the Washington Post that Biden's approval of Ukraine's use of the ATACMS came in response to Russia's decision to allow North Korean soldiers to fight in Ukraine.

Mr Kuzan said Sunday's decision had come ahead of what was an expected assault by Russian and Korean troops, designed to dislodge Ukrainian forces from Russia's Kursk region. The offensive was expected within days.'

Seriously Spectric, you are trying to falsely interpret that to suit your right wing bias.

The reality is that Biden knows the next president is a Russian apologist, so he is trying to give Ukraine as much support as it needs before Trump the Putin Puppet takes over.

Russian argument has been that these missiles only function with NATO based data from NATO military systems and therefore it means NATO is directly involved
Nah

The Russian argument actually is: “we’ve been firing long range missiles at Ukraine for 2 years with impunity, it’s not fair if Ukraine are allowed to defend themselves properly

Nb: “Russian argument” :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: you mean Russian propaganda

Biden might be trying to cause massive instability and he knows he has nothing to loose.
No

Trump is the one causing massive instability, he is the one that is saying “I’m going to stop any support for Ukraine and give it all to Putin” - that will lead to decades of instability in the region with an emboldened Putin

Clearly it's all designed to destabilise Trump when he takes office but that is typical of the Democrats
Tony, you might be completely wrong, it could be that it is the left wing who are totally correct and you are completely wrong on everything.

Tony, here is a mirror image to your posts:

“Right wingers are all total idiots, they haven’t got a clue, left wing is the only true way, I know because I’ve run businesses and I know I’m correct from experience, I have zero need for any facts evidence or data, I’m just correct. Oh and it’s obvious it’s the right wingers who are all totally blinkered, unlike me, my views are perfectly balance “

Enjoy :ROFLMAO:

Did the country want to impose economic sanctions on itself?

Brexit was a vehicle for right wing populists. Brexit only benefits the very wealthy disaster capitalists, hedge fund managers, the Tufton street free market libertarians.

Farage used Brexit as his personal vehicle to extend his career.

It’s no different to Trump using Xenophobia as a vehicle to gain power

Scruples, leaving the EU was never going to sort out the structural problems this country has, because it was U.K. domestic politics that created those structural problems (nb: the party that told you all the problems were caused by the EU is the same party largely responsible for the problems)

Once we left the EU, has anybody noticed how the Tories switched the blame onto foreigners.

What will Trump do in power? He trades on fear, what will happen when lowering taxes and deporting immigrants doesn’t make people any better off.
Brexit was was the people voted for. Populism seems to be the new word for the people's choice. I'd go with that.
The people decided.

Putin uses missiles, drones and artillery from Iran and N Korea to fire into Ukraine, yet it is apparently unfair for the Ukrainians to reciprocate using missiles from America, and hopefully the UK and elsewhere?

I am reminded of Bomber Harris and his observation that the Germans expected to be able to bomb everyone else, without anyone bombing them.

I’ve noticed th remoaners want to be back in so they don’t have to work in government or public services as all decisions are taken out of their hands by the eu, so working from home means doing nothing apart from riding a keep fit bike in the lounge and watching tv.

Scruples, you haven’t addressed any of the points I made in the post you responded to.

How the public voted is not related to the reasons behind the wealthy people who wanted it.

It’s the same in the American election. Elon Musk didn’t throw money at Trump because he cares about ordinary working people, Musk did it for vested interests

Politics is about hidden agendas.

We are of course straying off topic, but it's amusing to see that 5% of UKIP supporters voted Remain. When you're a supporter of what was basically a single issue party... and you vote against the single issue pushed by that party 🤷‍♂️

Almost as weird as Sideways finding post #114 funny, but whatever. Ain't nowt as strange as people.
That is strange, maybe that 5% didn't understand the question.

The bottom line is, Biden is trying to put the Ukranians in a stronger position to hang on to their land once Trump casually 'settles' the war with Putin.
The idea it's just an attempt to make things difficult for Trump is beyond daft.

Of course it's an alternative to the wokery that you watch, hadn't you figured that out but then again, judging by your repeated attempts to find ways to attack me in every post where I'm concerned you're not exactly the sharpest chisel in the workshop are you?

I said it makes a change to watch something that is entertaining with a completely different perspective on the news, I didn't say it wasn't biased or prejudiced or that I agreed with all of what they broadcast, I merely said I found it entertaining, much like your attempts to goad me!
