Power Carving?

Can any one offer advice on the appropriate blade for power carving? I have read a number of safety alerts and watched a few vids on the subject and it definitely looks like something you need to do with care including selecting the appropriate equipment for the job.

I am looking to make a few stools with shaped seats so am open to alternative Suggestions.

With what tool? Chainsaw, angle grinder or something else?

I use the Arbortech turbo plane on a 4.5” angle grinder.

I am initially thinking angle grinder. Not sure my chainsaw skills are up to it.

Do you go up through the grades or stick with one and then sand to a finish?
