Because like now, I suspect my original answer, as well as this reply, makes no sense at all unless it's seen to be replying to said (now closed) thread!

Perhaps there should be a "I just can't help myself" thread. Maybe called " Joke Commentaries" It seems that any thread left to run-and-run goes off topic in the end, only to be closed down. The exceptions to this being " Post s photo of the last thing you made", and "Post a photo of the last thing you turned" - 1million and 64 thousand views, respectively.
