Pffft, amateur 😉😊😊😊🤪🤪
Last Christmas I got so carried away turning that i hadn't noticed the shavings had built up until I started wondering why my neck was sore, there was 6 inches of shavings under my feet, once i cleaned up I had 10 bin liners full 😅🥴🥴🥴
Yeah, that is where I am about now! Love the turning... but hate the cleaning-up!
However, soon I will no longer be able to tolerate all the shavings and sawdust! 😂
The worst part is that you waste an entire day cleaning, and you just know that in a few hours it will be a mess again anyway!

I tend to kick the shavings under the lathe all week, first job every day is to hoover the dust from most surfaces around the lathe and once a week/fortnight I'll bag up the shavings, every few months I'll do a thorough de-dust which can take a whole afternoon, when the weather improves i plan to empty most of the stuff from the garage and get the leafblower put to give everything a good dusting.

Darn good idea; the leaf-blower.
I am going to try that!

My workshop is a long tandem garage with an up-and-over garage door at the front and a regular door at the back. When the wind is in the right direction, I open both doors wide, don my AirCap, and blast all the nooks, crannies, saw and plane till and generally high areas with the airgun from the compressor. It's never too bad but it's satisfying - like big-bin-day.

Just don't forget the face mask, it's surprising how much super fine dust settles.
@kinverkid I wish I had a door at the back, I'm not keen having the garage door open as its in full view of the academy office and makes me feel like I'm being watched at home and at work
