Does anyone have before/after photos of Osmo PolyX or similar (Fiddes perhaps) applied to Elm?

I've got a piece I'm hoping to finish this weekend - can get to Axminster tomorrow and was thinking PolyX but would be interested to get an idea of how dark it might go. I want it done before Christmas so don't really have time to get samples and things (plus it's £20+ a can if I don't like it ;)).

Bit late on this one but I have used Osmo on Elm, it comes out really nice, I used satin 2 coats. It darkens it quite a bit but brings out the grain really well.

Let me know if you still want a picture and I will find some.

Thanks both - those look very nice. It's been a busy week so I never made it last weekend but fingers crossed for tomorrow and getting it on at the weekend.

Student used Osmo on this Elm table, looked rich really showed off the grain.
Peter,
Is Osmo PolyX durable as a table finish, resisting water marks, scuffing from clumsy crockery clearing etc.? I've been using Ronseal Diamond Hard water based polyurethane varnish, but it's v time consuming to get a really good finish.
Cheers
Mark

Osmo will last several years on an elm family kitchen table from my experience, then refinishing is a doddle too
