The bench planes aren't as nice as a Stanley or Record from the same period. However I would think the cutting iron would be fine.

While on interesting planes -- what types did Letwin make?

Danny, that's a new one. I've heard of the Lewin Multi Plane but not Letwin, do you have an example?
