Piccy size???

Managed to get some Cherry Plum yesterday which had some rot up the middle.Cut them dowm the middle and found this colouring which looks really nice.Biggest piece is 12" dia.So can't wait to see how they turn out.

Turned quite a bit of Plum of different species. The colour usually stays IME, although as with all woods it does generally dull a little with age. You've got some top timber there Paul, look after it.

That rot up the middle, most Plums get it with age, with Damson being the worst. Have had a large Damson 14" dia. which was firewood, virtually no workable timber in the trunk.
